DRAINAGE COSTS:
will be incurred if you build within three metres of a public sewer:-
- £343 if diameter of sewer pipe is 160mm (6") or less;
- £652 if diameter of sewer pipe is up to 375mm (15");
- £1300+ if diameter of sewer pipe is above 375mm (15").

Ask: is sewer 'public' or private? What size? What depth?
Ask if you are likely to be charged and if so how much?
When building parallel to a Thames water public sewer, foundations must be horizontally a minimum of one metre away, however sewer may be bridged at 90 degree's.
